– Ensure the surface onto which the Silver leaf is to be attached is slightly tacky. A thinly applied egg wash or sugar syrup can be used where the food is not already sticky.


– Invert the paper and gently lower the silver leaf onto the food.


– Rub the paper gently with the back of a metal spoon to release the charge and allow the silver leaf to attach itself.


– If necessary, a small, dry brush can be used to carefully shape the silver leaf into grooves or crevices.


Avoid touching the leaf with your fingers, and avoid areas near a fan or breeze.

 

Stored in a cool, dry place, silver leaf will kept for approximately 5 years
